Finally saw the film 44 Inch Chest with Roy Winstone, John Hurt etc. Good film but so far I cannot establish what the title means. Was is the chest measurement of the main character? Or the size of the cupboard in which the kidnapped guy was kept for some of the film. I have checked all sources I can find including IMDb but can find no clue. Can anybody advise on this ?

Jasus that was an awful film. All I can remember is curse after curse. "I'm going to make a fu*king cup of tea ya cnuts" Switched it off after 20 minutes.

This clip contains a Question and Answer session with the writer David Scinto and stars John Hurt and Ray Winstone. Why they chose that title is the first question they discuss.

I must say I saw this and thought it was incredibly poor. Ended up watching the whole thing but afterwards both myself and my dad thought it was the biggest waste of time ever. But it has some strong reviews out there. Just really not for me though, and I really would watch anything at all, usually...

    Thanks, brian_t,
that interview is probably as good an answer as I'm likely to get on this question...
