Ming gets 260 miles to a tank (45L) and that's on a long drive with touching 6k RPM for very very short periods
 Is that around 26 miles per gallon? Jesus G I'd get that around town driving with little difficulty. Long runs? Add another third on to that figure at least. Well hovering around 40 miles per gallon anyway. That's keeping her at around 3000 rpm in 5th. I find the R pretty good on the juice. Actually considering the mad nature of it it's remarkably good. Then again I'd have a light right foot. Cheapskate you see. :o:)

Apologies to our younger readers for the imperial measures, I can't get my head around the oul metric regarding petrol consumption. :o

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Yep I average about 25 MPG, it's really bad on juice. It's probably my driving style though. I accelerate quickly, but wouldn't drive overly fast.

I get a constant 450-460 out of my tank and that's agressive enough driving. I'm getting a little less out of mine now since the rebuild, but not much less. About 430-440 to a tank.

all with quinn direct third party

they have to insure you once youve bought the car but the power is then in their hands to as what quote they can give!

Ha, my insurance is about half of your quotes, and I'm younger than ye!

    Quinn Direct
    FTO GP Version R
    23 years old
    4 years NCB
    800 quid (TPFT)

Considering they're the only company pretty much quoting for new business on an FTO, surely nearly double that is ripping you off Graham?

There is. I've had to force my old insurance company to (FBD) but they didnt offer renewal. I didnt force the issue as Quinn were offering me cheaper.

Have yet to argue with Quinn, but a friend of mine has when he was insuring a Clio 172, and he had to force them to. They did back down when he said he was cancelling. That was before they were in administration though

Ask them for the fine print on this - afaik the third party cover only applies to cars that are owned and insured by someone else (although it varies by insurer).

I think he meant he only had his car covered TPFT?
