    hi all,
    I'm thinking of buying a dell inspiron 15 laptop : http://www.dell.com/us/p/inspiron-15-n5030/pd?cs=19

Can anyone tell me if this laptop will be able to handle current video games or would I need something with more power?

You need something with a dedicated Graphics Card, graphics card is the most important part of any pc which is meant for gaming.

Keep an eye on this website, they have had some really great deals lately on entry level gaming laptops. They had one particular last week for around 450euro which was the best value gaming laptop which I had seen for a long time.

Edit: Keep an eye out on http://www.hotukdeals.com/computers/deals/hot too, they bring attention to the best deals on websites like saveonlaptops and others. However the people posting on it generally don't have the best technical knowledge and it would be a good idea to "google" the laptops product code and check out the reviews of the laptop/ particular graphics card on netbookcheck.net

For instance if a laptop had GPU: Nvidia GT 425M, then you would google "GT 425M" and click on the page that came up from notebookecheck, (this) http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-Geforce-GT-425M.34152.0.html

Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see it's performance in a selection of games.

Anything over 30fps means that the game is reasonably playable, click on the number for greater detail regarding where the benchmark was taken from.

I find notebookcheck to be pretty concise.

Just something else I would make a point of is that generally Acer and HP laptops are of a lesser build quality to Toshiba & Asus, Lenovo tend to be somewhere in the middle. Prices usually reflect that.
