best cheap laptop for video editing

So, I know people will tell me that I should fork out over a grand for a mac but the fact of the matter is I'm skint and I'm applying for a grant for film-making equipment which will be about E500 max. This means I might look towards getting a laptop for editing so my budget will be between 400-600. I know laptops at this…

I know laptops at this price for this type of use wouldn't be the best but if you had to choose which ones would you recommend?

I'm clueless when it comes to laptops so I'd be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.
