    Just a quick question about the new "Feed in tariff" that is being introduced in the UK to pay people for installing wind turbines.

    Is it OK to Dump Power?

    It is, you get paid per kilo Watt hour (kWh) you generate whether you use it or not. Its the generation that your getting paid for. Instead of dumping power, i.e. not using the power that you are generating, you could get additional payments through supplying the National Grid with unused electricity to recieve export tariffs, these are 3.1p/kWh since the start of April.
