Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi folks,

I'm converting my RPK to a PSL and I'm trying to find SVD style mags that will fit an AK - anyone come across something like this? I've looked quite a bit and am not coming up with anything.

    Thanks in advance

There is a short 250 round hicap made by TM and some clone companies for the beta spetz Ak.... Its the closest you'll get to an svd style in the ak reciver.
This is sthe one you can get... This.
Ehobby and RSOV both have the mags in stock.

    (: ברוכים השבים

    Thanks for that!

Very nice replica, btw! Where did you get your scope? Any advice on where to pick one up (with AK mount) on a budget?

    Cheers

you cant get an airsoft replica that fits the AK sadly, Although, if you get the airsoft svd fitted replica, and cut off the svd retaining bolt, and it does fit. Airsoft world, Ehobby, and Rsov have them, not sure on Irish retailers, but ive never seen one stocking the PSO1 scope.

Thanks again FK. No opposed to a little hacking so I might just take a punt on the replica and try and make it fit.

Final question - I'm looking at tightbores... which of the following would you recommend? Is the Prometheus 6.03 worth the $29 more? Would you be better off with a Prometheus 6.05, a Systema BS 6.04mm or a Madbull 6.03mm?

    Here are all my choices...

    Prometheus 6.03 EG Barrel for PSG1 (590mm) $ 68.99
    Madbull 6.03mm Black Python Ver.2 Tight Bore Barrel for PSG-1 (590mm) $ 39.99
    Systema BS 6.04mm Barrel for PSG1 (590mm) $ 49.99
    Prometheus 6.05 ASH Barrel for PSG-1 AEG (590mm) $ 37.00

With a 6.03, are you likely to run into probems finding bbs that won't jam etc?

I personally chose and run the madbull black python. Lovely barrel. And no, I don't get jams with it. While it's tight, you find they arent TOO tight... problems arrise with 6.02 and 6.01, but the tollerance is just right at 6.03. At 6.01, like I have in my l96, bb choice is worked out, and stuck to. (And they aint cheap)

Have a Prommy 6.03X[PSG+ Length, IIRC 610] and it doesnt jam. Thing to note though is the outer diameter was slightly larger than the barrel it was replacing(that shiny coating probably did it) which made it a little troublesome to fit.
