Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We are wondering about hiring a campervan for 4 to 6 weeks in Spain next winter. Would it be best to rent on the continent [France maybe] or hire one here and drive it over?
    Thanks.

    Hi Jonmac,
It would be cheaper to rent in France or Spain.
The problem with this is you are limited in the amount of personal luggage you can bring with you or the amount of cheap wine you can bring home.

A rental company here would give you a good price on a 4 - 6 week winter rental Im sure.

I know a good camper rental company that would be delighted to accommodate you.:D

The cheapest option I found was to Hire the van Germany and then drive down. It was a 1/3 cheaper to pick up in Munich rather than Southern France/Spain. Its a nice drive down as well if you take a slight scenic route.

You should have a look at www.caravanas-cruz.com. This company are not too far from Alicante Airport. The best winter months in Spain are November December and January. The temperatures are good in the Alicante area then. If you wish you can check out the temperatures at www.eltiempo.es and look for Alicante
