    Hi,

Basically I completed a post grad diploma in economic science and now looking to complete a masters. For funding from the county council, you need to be seen to be progressing on the scale of national qualifications.

Both the above are level 9 on the scale however surely a masters is a step up from a post grad diploma? Been onto the college careers who said that in their experience county councils had funded such a progression. The county council themselves admited she hadnt a clue while the NFQ said that while both were on the same scale a masters is longer with a different learning outcome.

Anyone have any experience with this before? Dont know whether it should be here or in student finances but i cant complete a masters unless its funded.

    Thanks!
