Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have Candy Dishwasher that is not completing it cycle.

Does anyone know of an appliance repair guy who charges fairly for call out and doesn't 'take the micky' when it comes to the cost of spare parts?

    Galway City Centre East.

There is a few every week in the Advertiser under the Electrical section.
I used City Appliance repairs last month to repair a washing machine. He charged me 40. Had to come back a second round but there was no extra charge. Nice guy

Depending on your warranty/age of machine...you might be better off paying for the authorised dealer/rep....the call out charge might be more but all parts are covered.

I paid €115 recently for a call out from a Hotpoint tech. for a 4 year old machine but it required a new console or something which alone would have cost a lot more than €115. If you have a manual, warranty you should be able to find a support number to see what the deal is.

I use a guy called a guy called Dominic. No fix - no fee. He wasn't exactly Speedy Gonzalez but he fixed a washing machine for €40 and a cup of tea.

His number is 087 <PM for number, mod>

Kavanaghs on Middle Street have an appliance repair service, and I think it's call out.

Recently was recommended(and used) a guy called Tom Foy by one of the better electrical shops in the city; decent guy, if you call him out and your appliance is fubar he will take it away and come back and fit your new replacement for you for his fee, as opposed to some others who will tell you your machine is gone and essentially charge you for nothing. Was very impressed with him, and will use him in future, pm me if you want the number.

I called George Conboy based on recommendations here. He's a bit pricey but quick and clean. I would recommend him.
