Building my own PC

HI all,

I'm Looking into building my own PC for the first time. At the moment im doin a Computer course in DCU so i have a good idea of what i want but i'd like your ideas too. I want to build a Gaming PC from scratch but don't wanna have to spend an absolute fortune! I was looking at an Intel i5 2.8 GHz CPU and an Asus P7P55D-E LX Motherboard. Thinking of getting 2 X 4GB sticks for RAM and a Asus ATI Radeon 6870 HD 1GB PCI-E HDMI DirectCU graphics card. Not sure what PSU to get yet or cooling device..

Anyone any suggestions on better hardware etc etc or ideas on a better build.?

Give us a budget and I'll whack out a sample build for you. Do you need a monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, OS as well?

The asgard cases are good, functional and easy to use but you may find them plain depending on taste. You should browse around to see if there is something that you like.
