Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Any truth to this no? It would make my year if true! Maybe then RTE would be forced to recruit Sean Moncrieff.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,084 ✭✭✭oppenheimer1

Perhaps we should pay him more to keep him here??

(This was last year, and he turned the offer down so they say, sure isn't Ross gone now?!)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 547 ✭✭✭yosemite_sam

Hasn't got enough talent to cut it on the BBC, I'd say his agent is looking for a rise for him off RTE

A year too late - he was offered Ross's radio show for the duration of last summer, and he turned down the offer.

Ray D'Arcy will be emigrating any day now
TOP radio host Ray D'Arcy will leave the country if Enda Kenny becomes Taoiseach.

The presenter has launched another personal attack on the Fine Gael leader, whom he previously described as being like a four-day-old floury potato.

As Kenny continues to struggle in the wake of George Lee's resignation a week ago, D'Arcy wasn't offering any sympathy.

"There is a huge mismatch between us as a society and our politicians. If you look at Enda Kenny, oh my God look at Enda Kenny," said D'Arcy in a tone of disbelief.

"I actually said it to her (his partner) and I shouldn't be saying it on live television but if he becomes Taoiseach I'm leaving the country.

this will only end badly for us tax payers!

ITV already own it. And it's even worse since that happened.

Katherine Lynch needs to be pawned off to Greenland or something, we might actually still see/hear her on BBC. Maybe she could try her schtick while conflict reporting. I'd laugh at that.

You obviously don't remember "RANT" on Network 2 all them years ago! :pac:

I will agree that Moncrieff's radio show is probably the best one going in Ireland at the moment, I just don't think he has the broad appeal needed for a Late Late host - I'm not saying I like Tubridy either but I don't think there's anyone out there who could raise the Late Late Titanic in it's current format and wouldn't like to see Moncrieff make such a bad career move!

he'll do great over there. They listen to some god awful middle of the road rubbish over there

Old women will love him over there. Geek will be cool in the UK.

Plus they won't understand all the little subtle things that make him a sh*te host. He'll be the token irish bloke.
