I spoke to someone in the Forestry Service earlier this week, and they told me "by the end of the month", meaning this month, April.
Here's hoping, my bank manager is getting twitchy :D

    Hi Folks,

Was just wondering if this years payment should be the same as last years? Or was there any reduction in the premiums?

    Thanks.

I'm in receipt of 2 payments (2 lots of forestry), and I see that one is exactly the same as last year and the other is a little more than last year.

There IS a 'note' on the letters sent by the Dept that "THE REVENUE COMMISSIONER'S POSITION IS THAT SOURCES OF INCOME FROM OCCUPATION OF CERTAIN WOODLANDS WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE UNIVERSAL SOCIAL CHARGE."

I seem to recall that the USC was 'removed' before/during the payment last year, but can't be certain.
It remains to be seen in they come looking for it separately this year :D
