NBC are moving Taken to Saturday night (all but saying that it won't be back for season 3).

Homeland is going to end at Season 8, according to Clare Danes.

Get your mind out of into the gutter: Hulu is taking us back to middle school… uncensored.

The streaming service has handed a 10-episode series order to PEN15 (OK, class, stop giggling), an adult-themed half-hour comedy set in middle school, TVLine has confirmed. Maya Erskine (Casual) and Anna Konkle (Rosewood) will star as their 13-year-old outcast selves — though clearly grown-up — as they navigate middle school among real 13-year-olds in the year 2000, “where the best day of your life can turn into your worst with the stroke of a gel pen,” according to the official description.

CBS All Access Sets New Series Debut Date

April 19, 2018 – CBS All Access announced today that its latest original drama series, STRANGE ANGEL, will launch on Thursday, June 14. New episodes of STRANGE ANGEL’s 10-episode first season will be available on demand weekly on Thursdays exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers.

STRANGE ANGEL, a drama series created by Mark Heyman (“Black Swan,” “The Skeleton Twins”) and based on George Pendle’s book of the same name, is inspired by the real life story of Jack Parsons and explores the dramatic intersection between genius and madness, science and science fiction.

Jack Parsons (Jack Reynor), a brilliant and ambitious blue-collar worker of 1930s Los Angeles, started as a janitor at a chemical factory but had fantastical dreams that led him to birth the unknown discipline of American rocketry. Along the way, he fell into a mysterious world that included sex magick rituals at night, ultimately becoming a disciple of occultist Aleister Crowley. Parsons used Crowley’s teachings of self-actualization to support his unimaginable and unprecedented endeavor to the stars.

‘Fast & Furious’ Animated Series Set At Netflix Based On Universal Movies As Deal With DreamWorks Animation TV Expands

An animated Fast & Furious series is headed to Netflix. It is the first series in an expansion of an ongoing multi-year deal between Netflix and DreamWorks Animation Television for original animated kids and family programming. The expansion, following Comcast-NBCUniversal’s acquisition of the animation studio, includes a first look at DreamWorks Animation animated series based on Universal film properties. First off is Fast & Furious, based on Universal’s multi-billion dollar franchise. The series is executive produced by Vin Diesel, Neal Moritz and Chris Morgan, producers on the live-action movies. DreamWorks will also continue creating series based on original and acquired IP.

In the Fast & Furious animated series, teenager Tony Toretto follows in the footsteps of his cousin Dom when he and his friends are recruited by a government agency to infiltrate an elite racing league serving as a front for a nefarious crime organization bent on world domination. Tim Hedrick (DreamWorks Voltron Legendary Defender) and Bret Haaland (All Hail King Julien) will serve as executive producers and showrunners.

Amazon has officially greenlit an eight-episode second season of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, starring and executive produced by John Krasinski, well ahead of the action drama series’ August 31 global debut on Prime Video. The writing team for Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, from Paramount Television and Skydance Television, had already been working on scripts for season two under series creators/executive producers Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland who continue as co-showrunners. Netflix has ordered a 10-episode limited series revival of Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City. Production is expected to start later this year for premiere in 2019.

Laura Linney and Olympia Dukakis will reprise their roles as Mary Ann Singleton and Anna Madrigal. Barbara Garrick, who played DeDe Halcyon Day in the original miniseries, also is set to return. Ellen Page joins the cast as Shawna, the daughter of Linney’s character, Mary Ann. Additional cast to be announced.

Based on the books by Armistead Maupin, this next chapter – Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City – follows Mary Ann (Linney), who returns home to San Francisco and is reunited with her daughter Shawna (Page) and ex-husband Brian, twenty years after leaving them behind to pursue her career. Fleeing the midlife crisis that her picture perfect Connecticut life created, Mary Ann returns home to her chosen family and will quickly be drawn back into the orbit of Anna Madrigal (Dukakis) and the residents of 28 Barbary Lane.

Forest Whitaker To Topline Straight-To-Series Crime Drama At Epix

Epix has given a 10-episode straight-to-series order to crime drama Godfather of Harlem, with Forest Whitaker attached to star and executive produce. The series hails from Narcos creator Chris Brancato and Paul Eckstein, and ABC Signature Studios.

Written and executive produced by Brancato and Eckstein, Godfather of Harlem tells the true story of infamous crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Whitaker), who in the early 1960s returned from ten years in prison to find the neighborhood he once ruled in shambles. With the streets controlled by the Italian mob, Bumpy must take on the Genovese crime family to regain control. During the brutal battle, he forms an alliance with radical preacher Malcolm X – catching Malcolm’s political rise in the crosshairs of social upheaval and a mob war that threatens to tear the city apart.

Whitaker and Nina Yang Bongiovi executive produce via Whitaker’s Significant Productions, along with Eckstein, James Acheson and Markuann Smith. Brancato will serve as showrunner.

Production is slated to begin later this year with an eye towards a 2019 premiere on Epix.

Agents of Shield: no decision yet. Pessimistic tone in this article though.

A synopsis has been released for the penultimate episode of what may be the finale chapter of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. And while the synopsis doesn’t really give away too much… read that as ‘anything’… it does make one thing clear, the fact that ABC has not given the series a renewal and all of the shows cast and crew talking about how they are treating the season finale as a potential series finale makes it feel like the stakes have been raised.

Katee Sackhoff to Play Astronaut in Netflix Straight-to-Series Drama 'Another Life'

The 'Battlestar Galactica' favorite is returning to the sci-fi genre after Western 'Longmire.'
Katee Sackhoff is returning to space (and Netflix).

The Battlestar Galactica alum has been tapped to star in space drama Another Life, which has been ordered straight-to-series at Netflix.

The 10-episode drama revolves around astronaut Niko Breckenridge (Sackhoff), who leads a crew on a mission to explore the genesis of an alien artifact. As she and her young crew investigate, they face unimaginable danger on what might very well be a one-way mission.

The drama hails from Halfire Entertainment, marking the company's second series at Netflix following Alias Grace. Aaron Martin (Saving Hope, Degrassi: The Next Generation) created the series and serves as showrunner. Halfire's Noreen Halpern (Rookie Blue, Alias Grace, Haven) will also exec produce the series.

Another Life marks Sackhoff's return to the sci-fi genre following her breakout role on Syfy's Battlestar Galactica on which she played fan-favorite Starbuck for four seasons. Another Life also serves as Sackhoff's return to Netflix, which rescued former A&E Western drama Longmire for its final three seasons.

The series only trails 'Homeland' as most watched among the network's drama roster.
Showtime cannot get enough of Billions. The drama has been renewed for a fourth season at the network, ahead of a time-slot shift in May.

Billions has been a strong performer for the network since it premiered in 2016, trailing only behind Homeland among the network's most watched dramas, with a weekly audience of 4.5 million all told.

'Star Wars Resistance' Animated Series Set at Disney Channel

Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie will reprise their characters and guest-star in the series.
Disney Channel is returning to a galaxy far, far away.

The kid-focused cable network has handed out a series order to Star Wars Resistance, a new animated series revolving around Kazuda Xiono, a young pilot recruited by the Resistance whose mission is to spy on the growing threat of the First Order.

The series will premiere in the fall on Disney Channel in the U.S. and on Disney XD around the world.

Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie will return to voice their characters, Poe Dameron and Captain Phasma, respectively, in guest roles. The new series will feature BB-8 alongside pilots and new characters.

Lucasfilm Animation veteran Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) created the series. He exec produces alongside Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels grads Athena Portillo, Justin Ridge and Brandon Auman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Amy Beth Christenson (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) serves as art director.

"The idea for Star Wars Resistance came out of my interest in World War II aircraft and fighter pilots," Filoni said. "My grandfather was a pilot and my uncle flew and restored planes, so that's been a big influence on me. There's a long history of high-speed racing in Star Wars, and I think we've captured that sense of excitement in an anime-inspired style, which is something the entire team has been wanting to do for a long time."

The voice cast features Christopher Sean (Days of Our Lives), Suzie McGrath (East Enders), Scott Lawrence (Legion), Myrna Velasco (Elena of Avalor), Josh Brener (Silicon Valley), Donald Faison (Scrubs), Bobby Moynihan (DuckTales), Jim Rash (Community) and Rachel Butera (Tammy's Tiny Tea Time).

Smollett-Bell signed on for the HBO show after fielding multiple broadcast pilot offers.
