Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Did a reinstall last week and was able to make new folders on any drive.

    BUT it now looks that all the drives and folders are read only and I can't make any new folders on the drives or in a folder. And it does not allow me to remove the read only attribute from a folder.

    any ideas????????

    I think they should be read only.

    No the problem is i cannot make a new folder on any hard drive or in any other folder.

    The option 'New' is not showing when I right click in/on a drive or folder.

    Also every file is read only now and even if I change the attribute it still goes back to read only.

    After you install Internet Explorer with the Windows Desktop Update component, the following symptoms may occur:

    • When you click the File menu in Windows Explorer, the New command may be missing.
    • When you right-click the desktop, the New command may be missing from the context menu.

    To resolve this issue, use Registry Editor to verify that the registry key listed below has the value listed, and if needed, edit the value to match the value listed.

    Registry key:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\New\ (Default)
    Value for (Default):
    {D969A300-E7FF-11d0-A93B-00A0C90F2719}
