No it was Porterhouse North in Phibsborough.
Ah. Festival leftover, perhaps. They took the TSB handpump out of Porterhouse North and installed a Guinness tap so I'd be surprised if they were going all cask-y again there. But it'd be nice. There's a permanent gravity cask in Porterhouse Temple Bar.

Helvick Gold is the only one of the three I have not had on cask yet, where did you get it out of interest?
I've had it on gravity in Porterhouse Temple Bar and hand-pumped in Against the Grain, at festivals and in the brewery. I'm sure it'll show up on rotation in Against the Grain and the Bull and Castle in due course.

As part of their festival they had Black Rock on cask in all five outlets (Ireland/London ones). That's why it was in PH North.

The pubs that do serve cask Dungarvan beers are favouring Black Rock and Copper Coast at the moment, but they have all had Helvick Gold in the past, and I'm sure they will again.

As TBN said it will be at various festivals over the coming weeks, with the Festival of Food in Dungarvan next on the list.

Anyway, as you were with the Hooker discussion.

picked up a btl of Badger TANGLE FOOT and FURSTY FERRET today.
same place had some BLACK SHEEP HOLY GRAIL it cost 4euro a btl.
would it be worth the extra euro a btl compared to the above.

sorry posted in the wrong thread........................

I'm heading more and more off-topic, but read this to find 50cl beer for 1.80 in rural Franconia.

Can I just ask - is that the Altendorf here, near Bamberg? http://tinyurl.com/6emhwup
or is it the one north of Nurmberg? http://tinyurl.com/6kzpkh8
