Relocating Kitty

I have persuaded my mother to give a home to a cat that the owner has decided she no longer wants and wanted to send to a watery grave. :(

Kitty is living in a house in the suburbs at the moment and my mother lives on a farm and would prefer the cat slept in a shed.

Will the cat be confused and run off? What do we need to do to make her stay?

Give her lots of love and attention and fuss over her.
The she'll be more likely to stay.

when you move a cat you are usually advised to keep it inside for at least 1 or 2 weeks, so it forgets the old home and doesn't try to go back. It's not going to be too happy shut in a shed, maybe your mother will change her mind?
