    Hi,
My home insurance is up for renewal.
The 'Buildings sun insured' amount is €205,000 (bases on rebuilding cost plus fees). That's based on price about 6 years ago.

I'm guessing that it'd be cheaper these days. Anyone be able to tell me what amount that would be nowadays (10% cheaper etc).

    Cheers,
    Pa.

What is the bais for the €205,000 - was that a detailed calculation or simply based on floor area?

Reconstruction cost has little to do with purchase price.
