Sims Reg Code

    I got a new laptop and I have the Sims 2 disk, but I have lost the package with the reg number. If I put the sims into the old computer, and start it there, is there some way to find the code?

    There is actually! You don't need to put in the disk.

    1. If you're on XP, go to Start, run, type Regedit and hit enter.
    2. You're on registry editor. Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    3. Then navigate to SOFTWARE>Electronic Arts>The Sims 2

    There should be a file there somewhere once you double click will give you the CD Key without the '-' between the letters/numbers.
