Instead of blabbering on about why I want to become a detective, I'll give you the short bullet points.

    • 29 years old
    • BA in Business and Law (specialised in Law at my final year) (UCD)
    • MA in Management (NUI Maynooth)
    • MA in Law (Trinity)
    • BA in Forensic Science (Institute of Technology in Tallaght)
Be honest, would it take long for promotions? I don't want to become an officer and get underpaid.. I want to get in on the high rank side.

I think something I should add is that, I am kinda short and not very stocky so the aptitude test may be quite difficult for me but I am sure I can get the relevant training done before taking the test, right?

Just like everybody else you must start at the bottom, apply and get through testing and become a garda on the street. Your education means nothing here once you meet minimum requirements. There are plenty of threads here to answer all your questions. Read them.

I can only assume you're trolling. Also, with all your qualifications Id assume you know what an 'aptitude' test is

Agreed. I'm going to lock this thread temporarily. OP you can pm me if you wish to convince me otherwise.
