Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm pretty sure I used one before for my XP professional - just installed it and it reduced the boot up time considerably - almost sure it was by microsoft but I can find it now - looking to speed up boot time on XP Home edition - ring any bells for anyone

    cheers Gav

be careful as it says further down that it has caused peoples machines to not boot properly and that according to MSoft it is outdated

suspend or hibernate - are usually far quicker than booting

As far as I remember that done nothing for me. As Capt'n Midnight says hibernate is the best way around it.

    After that:
    Look at your start-up programs
Check what services are running and see if you need them or not. A quick google on each one will help explain what they do.
