Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Repair liquid damage

    Hi, recently managed to spill wine on my laptop. Disconnected battery etc. All seems ok except a few keys don't work and the wireless card not working. Have dissambled and can't see any obvious damage. Help, what do i do? was bought from Laptop shop in Stephens Green. Its an Asus K501N

    if it was water then it wouldn't be so bad as you can dry that out easily but you spilled wine which can cause shorts to happen

    Thanks for the reply. The only thing I haven't done is to clean the circuit boards with de-ionised water and isopropol alcohol. Mainly because getting the alcohol is difficult. Also having a few issues with getting to the motherboard. Can't get the fan out to give me access.

    I got 250mL from a chemist for about €3
