Neteller not working with aib debit card

    Hi guys,

    Just wondering if anyone else is having trouble depositing with their aib laser/maestro card?? I contacted their support, they are blaming the bank!! Just wondering if anyone else is having trouble??

    AIB Laser is deliberately crippled by AIB. Recently Neteller was able to process this card as International Maestro; but now AIB have stated:

    "Please note: You can now also use your AIB Debit Card online where you see the Maestro symbol. In some cases, while a retailer may appear to be based in the Republic of Ireland, the retailer may choose to locate their website or payment processing services outside of the Republic of Ireland which may regrettably prevent you from using your AIB Debit Card to complete your transaction."

    They do not state why they "regrettably prevent" such transactions. No doubt they'll come up with some 'security' tosh but it is probably to protect credit card revenue streams.
