    I'm gonna go with 3-1.

I'm not sure to who though, I just fancy it being 3-1.

I'm going for an optimistic 2-1 to Liverpool.
I think Meireles is due a goal:)

You know those Guardian team sheets are made on Thursday? Not usually accurate.

If you go back to first time I posted one, I said it was a predicted line-up. I don't bother saying that any more. I post them because I like the way they're done, but yes I know they're not always accurate.

In some sort of fit of madness, I have gone an put 20 euro on Andy Carroll to score 2 or more goals.

Thank god I only put a bet on every 6 months or so. Would be one broke bitch otherwise!

But posting it so close to kick off, just thought it may be a source of confusion for some.

I heard he travelled with the team but not that he would be on bench. Did you hear specifically that he'd be on bench? If so, great.

Think this thread might be more interesting than the match...expect the usual United lads to come out attacking in an attempt to feel better about yesterday...hopefully the Liverpool lads keep their heads and don't pick up any bans.

I'll go for a repeat of the first fixture 1-1.

It's good that you've already decided how the thread will go.

Personally, I'll be rooting for Liverpool probably a lot more than you will. A Liverpool win today means an awful lot for me, while it has little effect on your season. It'll be unusual, but for me, I'll want Liverpool to win more than Liverpool fans :)

I can assure you, as a Liverpool fan, I'm just as desperate for them to get a win. The title race is all but over. Arsenal just haven't the steel to get over the line.

Sterling is training with the first team for the week. I really doubt he will be on the bench as he played yesterday for the U18's in the 6-0 win over Man United.

Edit - Here we go : Reina, Flanagan, Aurelio, Carragher, Skrtel, Lucas, Spearing, Meireles, Kuyt, Suarez, Carroll. Subs: Gulacsi, Cole, Kyrgiakos, Shelvey, Ngog, Maxi, Robinson.

Arse: Szczesny; Sagna Squillaci Koscielny Clichy; Song Wilshere; Nasri Fabregas Arshavin; Van Persie.

Pool: Reina, Aurelio, Flanagan, Carra, Skrtel, Spearing, Lucas, Meireles, Kuyt, Suarez, Carroll.

    Fiver on the draw @3.95

Arsenal are the better team but im thinking a 2-1 victory to the 'Pool :(

Arsenal should really test Flanagan here, he could be a big weakness for Pool.

Some baptism of fire for Flanagan. City and Arsenal for your first two league starts is rough.

    I'll give you that alright.

I'd take G*ry N*ville sooner than monotone Wilkins.

Arsenal to pass them off the pitch. 3-0. Too much class in midfield for Liverpool, who have nothing to play for.

Fcuksake. Wilkins is a proper analyst. Listen to him talk about formations and everything. Then listen to Redknapp. Wilkins is a fantastic addition to Sky.

Can see this game being an ill-tempered affair, something like Ike and Tina Turners was.

I think you may be underestimating Liverpools desire to win.
Dalglish wants a fulltime contract, Caroll will be hungry to add to his tally and there's a couple of young lads who'll be keen to impress. Not to mention Suarez and Kuyt who'd probably burst their balls in a kickabout in the park.

You may be right about about midfield though, need a good shift from Lucas.
