Strange Rule at my new gun range

    All of the other range rules seem normal, but:

    Rule 14: Fully automatic fire is to be limited to 3 round bursts only.

    Didn't think there were any full auto firearms allowed here.
    Anyway at the Midlands ranges the rules state that there is 5 seconds between each shot so that covers the semi-autos from letting off a string of shots.

    Yeah, left Dublin 2 weeks ago.

    Took CCW course yesterday -qualified no bother.

    Very hot here.

    That's a curious rule for a typical pistol range.

    Not to cut across clivej, but the rule is a 4 second rule and it applies to the rifle range and for when lads are practising or plinking.

    Unless it is part of a competition the rule stands. For any other shooting there must be a delay of no shorter than 4 seconds between shots.

    That makes more sense. Clearly it would be silly to have it on a typical pistol or shotgun range.
