There's been a lot of tree felling recently. Trees were cut down at the Rehab headquarters on the Western Road that must have been there since Doc O'Callaghan's time.

Edit:Actually just read on Facebook that Dunnes have issues a statement to say that the existing trees were diseased and they will be replanting the trees and hedges in the next few days. I'll give them a few days and see what they do to repair the damage that has been done to the streetscape around Oakville.

I’m sure the Facebook warriors will continue to blame the gubberment and the council though.

What do you mean by giving them a few days to see what they do to repair damage?..What will you do if they dont?

Feck all I can do I suppose, maybe put a formal complaint to the council or an board pleanala or something. But between now and when the actual plans become clear I certainly won't be attending any marches and candle lit vigils or boycotts and the other sort of **** that some of the permanently annoyed over on Facebook are talking about.

Good to see a business being so open about their reasons for ceasing to trade.

The rent increase is just shy of 20%.

I assume some the V.A.T. is reclaimable, but I am not sure about this.

As regards Rates, here is what it states on the Showgrounds website.

    Rates
These are dependent upon length of the planned activity and vary in terms of seasonality.

Clonmel and Cahir Electoral district being split, according to this.

Clonmel will be one Borough district with 6 Councillors - Cahir will join Cashel/Tipperary Town district with a total of 11 Councillors between them.

There is/was a men's yoga class up the Cashel road. Tom is the teacher. Fantastic class and I'd say the age range was maybe 30 to 60ish. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. You are working but it is on the more relaxing side of things. It's far into the estate on the right, yellow unit I think several doors down from the Animal shop. That class was on Sundays, I think 5 to 6:30. My weekends got messed up so I can't go and I honestly miss it.

I see Ambers planned expansion got knocked on the head. http://tippfm.com/news/business/plans-major-revamp-clonmel-filling-station-shot/

They have now erected fixed bollards on both sides of the road to prevent parking on the hard shoulder, not surprising really as it was very dangerous.

I believe that new plans have been submitted.

I noticed that the other day. I wonder how truck drivers feel about it, some days there could be 3 of them parked at the amber side of the road. They're legally obliged to take breaks and it's a convenient place for toilets and food, I can't think of many alternatives on the n24 other than the Tipperary town plaza (I'm sure there's others I haven't thought of)

Yes indeed, a case of treating the symptoms but not the problem.
There was an area of a wide shoulder on the Kilsheelan side of Newtownanner school which was quiet safe and a popular with drivers but there was an obstacle placed there some years back also even though I would have thought it did seem safe, to me anyway.

Big loss of business to Circle K, not happy about the bollards I'd say.

Then when they refurbished they should have thought about putting in space for truck parking.

The new plans for amber, do they include parking for trucks?

Any recommendations for a decent restaurant that isn't Indian or Chinese food? Looking for somewhere nice that does contemporary food but not too poncy. Special occasion so budget isn't an issue. Please don't recommend Clonmel Park hotel!! ðŸ˜

    Thanks in advance

The Bunker and Mani are pretty good. I’ve been in both and would highly recommend them.

I seen on Facebook that Clonmel oil who own that Circle K have offered the use of their yard for truckers needing to stop at the shop for a quick break.
