Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

cannot connect to the internet

    Having a strange problem with my internet. as in I can't connect to it. it's coming in via a upc box. my housemate had it all set up in his room before so I don't know what's changed, but I reckon he had a router in there, as it was wireless before.

    so now I have a modem, and some cables. have the modem powered up, the wire from the modem to the wall jack, and the network cable into my laptop. the little monitor icon appears but with a warning symbol. i've tried all sorts of combinations, but what i've ended up with is what is in the upc manual for use with just a modem. i know it's something simple but I can't get it. any suggestions as to what to try next?

    Those UPC routers (I'm assuming it's the black Cisco box) are annoying to deal with.

    You've tried restarting it?
    You're getting a 192.168.xxx.xxx address?

    Is it just you who can't connect to the internet or is it down for everybody else in the house?

    Have restarted everthing several times.
    No one else in the house with me so dunno. Rang upc and went through a few things,he said theres something wrong with the modem.someone coming out thursday.though besdies giving me a new one what can he do.
    Oh its a scientific atlanta modem,not cisco.
