key fob for electric gates

    Sorry if this is the wrong place for this.
    We rent in a gated estate and can't find the key fob for the gates.(there is a number pad for the gate also)
    Are replacements easy to get and how much do they cost?

    Please explain, You need a remote to open gate wireless or key fob to present near reader to open gate ?

    Check what make is motor, example: Ditec, FAAC, Proteco etc. If You know this You can buy remote approximately for 50 euro each, if it's old brand or longer not available in Ireland or You don't know what make You have, it's need a new external radio and new remote. External radio cost approximately 50~100 Euro.

    Thanks for that. I'll check in the morning in day light and see the make. Were renting so don't want to lose our deposit for having lost the zapper.

    Why not just contact the landlord or managment company. The management company will have details of all the common area keys/fobs. They may want to cancel the old one off the system also for security reasons.
