Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well folks, having a bit of trouble with my Inspiron 1545. OS is Windows 7. When I start up windows, the computer sets up as normal. Then when it gets to the desktop, it becomes very unresponsive for a few minutes. Then everything is ok for a while, before becoming very slow and unresponsive again for another couple of minutes. Programs that I have open become non-responsive. The Action Centre is reporting that my McAfee is being turned off. I scanned the computer with McAfee and Malwarebytes, but they found no problems. Any ideas as to what could be causing this??

    Cheers

    Hi,

It could easily be some form of virus or malware that is not detected by McAfee or Malwarebytes. Some of these newer infections can be pretty insidious and avoid detection using an active mechanism.

You could try rebooting in safe mode (press f8 repetedly as the system is booting to bring up the menu). Try to run the McAfee scan while in safe mode and do likewise with a full MalwareBytes scan and see what you come up with. If you run a blank at this stage you may have to resort to using the task manager or process explorer to pinpoint what is causing the problem.
