888 - subs

Can anyone advise: I have the old standard analog NTL/UPC pack, of around 16 cannels. But I can only get subs on RTE & TV3. ie: BBC1/2, UTV, C4 etc dont have p888 or any subs. I really dont want the expense and/or hassle of getting the Sky HD setup, or similar just to get subs. Anyone got any ideas ?

This should really be in the Cable forum, but nonetheless...

UPC have discontinued teletext on the UK terrestrials via the analogue service. So I don't think there's much you can do short of going digital. UPC's basic digital is cheaper than analogue anyway. Or Freesat might be an option for you.
