Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

MS Office 2010 Query

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I have a quick question related to Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010.

I bought this in January, downloaded it, entered the product key and it all worked fine, a couple of days ago however it started saying thank you very much for using the trial and asking for license name and license code. I have receipt on their website that it was purchased and downloaded and I have an e-mail with confirmation order number and so on documenting same.

When I entered the product key number in the license code it keeps rejecting it, I have tried every other number I could find on the MS Office package I bought in the shop. Any ideas what is wrong.

I have tried ringing Microsoft but their representative was of zero help.

I installed some new anti-virus software recently, might that have affected it?

Any help would be much appreciated. I don't want to have to buy it again especially as I have only used it on 1 pc when the product code can work on up to three.

What site did you buy it from and how much did it cost?

I can't really help with your issue directly but what ever you do, do not buy MS office again Open Office is free, it looks slightly different, but does most (if not all) of what MS office does and you can save your files in MS office formats. . .and it's free

I bought it in the shop (went in wanting 2007 but they had no 2007 version) (ms office 2010 wasn't installed in my pc) so downloaded it then from the ms office site. Cost close to 100 when I bought it.

So you didn't buy it from the shop, you downloaded it from the site? I suspect you installed a trial version. Whom did you pay money to?

I bought the booklet containing the product key from the shop but since I didn't have 2010 on the computer I had to go on the site to download it and then entered the product key. If I have installed a trial version is there any way of making it a full version?

Was there no link to the software to download it on the sheet that you bought?

I followed the instructions given to activate the software but obviously I must have gone wrong somewhere. Thanks for the help.

Did you download the correct version of office? Sorry if this sounds obvious.

It was 2010 I downloaded alright. I'm sure I'll figure it out some way. Thanks to everyone for their help. Much appreciated.

Just make sure you downloaded the Office Home and Student 2010 edition and not any other edition. Good luck.
