Plenty of old threads on this one. The I use, and one which seems to be universally recommended, is the iMax B6 balance charger. Works well with LiPos & NiMh alike and according to the manual also does LiFePo and other types as well. The interface is reasonably intuitive.

I'm happy enough with my Turnigy Accucel-6, does everything I need it to do. Probably the best places to look for in-depth information, would be RC forums. There are a ton of decent chargers.

i got a Turnigy Accucel-6, which does what I need it to do e.g. Lipo, NiMh charge and discharge, and some others as well, there's an alarm on it for when its finished and a timer so if you forget its on it switches itself off,got it from Hobby King..http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=7028 dosn't come with a power pack though, got one from a friend who installs cctv cameras,no instruction book but i found this very helpfull.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYFHQHQ1aD8 hope that helps
