I have already upgraded my SR-25 internally and externally. It was an agm brand SR-25 at the start. I added the usual scope, QD suppressor and harris bi-pod and also i changed the stock for a Magpul PRS and get a set of 170rd G&P Midcaps.

The standard hop up, rubber and barrel were removed when i got it. Due to the original set up being for the 400fps mark.
Spring downgraded and gearbox reshimmed and new wiring installed.

I replaced the barrel with my usual tightbore of choice, Madbull Python 6.03 509mm and i used a G&P metal hop with a madbull shark rubber. Performance wise it excells in range better than any of my other aegs.

My question is since I use it as a semi-auto sniper system I want peoples views on tighbore and hop choices for improved accuracy and range for a sniper system. I am currently thinking of swapping the Madbull tightbore for KT twist barrel and am currently thinking of getting a Madbull ultimate hop unit.

Just looking for peoples views on improvements that could be made

Have a look for Shredder's Concave Spacer (SCS), with a Guarder clear bucking. Use a rotary tool (Dremel, Proxxon, cheap knockoff) to file down the nub inside the bucking for best results. People have also been turning the bucking inside out and using a scalpel to get it off. Don't know if a Guarder clear could put up with that punishment though.

I always wanted to try a TK twist barrel. Damn, now you got me curious again. (Edit:- Not great for full auto, never mind)

I'd agree on the madbull and shark fin... great combo, on a par with a TK performance personally....

As for swapping them all because it was a 400fps setup... not so true, the barrel, hopup and hop unit are pretty standard, they just wack a 400fps spring in it from some hapless truck's suspension that passes the factory. Admitedly, swapping them for accuracy is a good call.

Wouldnt waste the dosh on a TK now you have a python, its perfectly suited to the job as it is.

Cheers for the tip on the hop bucking had never heard of that before. As for TK barrel i got curious after seeing one in action in a friends AK just get me thinking but they be expenisve buggers. As for full auto it wouldnt matter as i only use semi on it despite keeping the auto feature for unjamming the gearbox.

The stock hop and barrel that came with the AEG were rubbish it was a lottery to see if shots would stay on target and the bucking was rock solid, but its to be expected from clones.

Cheers for the advice on the TK as it is a lot of money to spend on just a barrel. Im just looking at the best performance i can get out compared to a spring sniper. Just looking for little tweeks that can be made for accuracy cheers for the input.

I'm with Firekitten on not needing to change the barrel or that, just the hopup rubber and maybe nub.

I'd like to add that you have a sexual beast of a gun there.

I've got the same brand and length barrel and hop setup in my tavor at the moment... I lent this gun to my spotter at the recent CC3 game in Wales, and i had to prise it out of his hands at the end. it was under 1j, and doing stupid range and accuracy... So i think you're pretty safe with your setup now :)

Recomend using .25s if you arent already, they will improve consistency of shots alone (if you're using .2s at the moment.)

Thank you for the tip i had been using .20s and .23s but I will be giving the .25s a test on my next outing. Does the tavor take a 509mm barrel?

Does when its not the C (Short barrel) variant yes. Regular length is about 509mm :)

Mine was putting rounds on target at roughly 70m. its... scarily accurate.
