Yeah, you should have all the cables you need. Is that a single stick of RAM? I'd get a dual channel kit and get another two sticks later if necessary. If it's a single stick, make sure you get another exactly the same.

Ordered it all Monday evening with an estimated delivery date of today as all items were lsited as in stock only to get an email saying that they were out of stock of 3 of the items I ordered but they would be sent on Wednesday evening. Still no despatch email and quite annoyed atm, really had hoped to get it all together before the end of the weekend.

That's poor having incorrect stock marked on three items.
Sometimes they don't send dispatch emails. Scan are fast at delivering, but getting it in two days seems unlikely.

It's irritating as hell as I've sent them two emails regarding it and have yet to recieve a reply. All the items they said were out of stock are listed on the site as being in stock still. It's bloody annoying, if I don't hear from them before tomorrow afternoon I'll be ringing them.

Finially got a reply from them and it seems that it is the motherboard which out of stock, the other items are back in but the MB won't be there for 3-4 days.

Think I may look at another MB that's instock, any suggestions on an equally good board?

I wouldn't go down in prices when dual graphics cards is important. Next one up is the MSI GD65, which is about €10 dearer than the GD55.
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/msi-p67a-gd65-(b3)-intel-p67-s-1155-pci-e-20-(x16)-ddr3-1600-2133-sata-6gb-s-raid-atx

Edit: On scan, there's "today only" deal with the processor and motherboard combination.

Thanks for that, going to email and ask if I can change it to the GD65 and hopefully get my order shipped asap.

Finially got an email to say that my order had been sent. The estiamted time of arrival is sometime tomorrow but after repeatedly trying to get a firm time and day from Scan I gave up and decided I'll jsut make sure I'm at home all day tomorrow and next. Shame as my brother is emigrating tomorrow and I had planned to go to Shannon and see him off.

:( Well that's crap. Tell scan that they'll never be able to repay you for the damage caused. :pac:

Maybe your brother might be able to get you cheap parts in the future from abroad. :)

May ask them for the Nvidia 3D kit to compensate for emotional damages.

I understand that stock level can be hard to keep track of but to have items listed on your site as being in stock a week after an email was sent out to say that your order is delayed due to said items not being obtainable is a bit of a joke and to take nearly a week to respond to an email is rather poor form. I ended up changing the motherboard I wanted to the next one up so that I could get it sometime this year expecting that they may say forget the 4 pound difference, a small apology for your delayed order but checked the account today and found that they'd charged me it. I really don't mind if it means I get my order soon.

I doubt I'll be using scan again once I get this order. Just recieved an email fron scan to say that dpd could not find my house. I'm curious why dpd did not simply ring me on 1 of the two numbers I provided when making the order rather than contact scan to say they could not find my house which tbh no other courier has ever had a problem locating.

Scan said that they hope another delivery attempt will be made tomorrow so I provided them with 5 additional numbers of family members and told them I want guaranteed delivery tomorrow or else they are to contact dpd and have the order returned and my money refunded.

That's very poor overall. I've used them a few times but never had anything like this, make sure that you post your experience in the retailer discussion thread.

Finially got the delivery today only to discover that the friend who is to build it for me is gone away for two weeks with his girlfriend. Thankfully I have another friend who built his last machine so were going to have a crack at it ourselves later on.

The monster is up and running. So nice to finially get it all sorted and be able to sit back and play Call of Duty Black Ops on highest settings.

Came in here for pics to show a friend and it seems that I never posted pics of my behemoth. Will take some and finally upload them tomorrow. The machine is running like a dream, got a 3D kit 2 weeks back and could not be happier with my gaming, editing, FXs work and programming.
