You can't do this as a preorder,what you do is pay a €3 deposit for the Game,any game out since March 1st until 26th of May,on release of your chosen game bring your three games into the same store with your deposit receipt and get your game, Special edition/Box set games are generally excluded, and no I don't work for them, I just read the terms and conditions.

I picked up Lego Pirates of the Caribbean last Friday with this deal, and my local store confirmed the deal would last until next Friday, and I could pick up Dirt 3 or LA Noire if I wanted to on that day.

I think they were trying to push me to trade back Lego PotC next Friday, which would be stupid.

I got stuff like Blood Bowl, which I got from Zavvi for about £5, and other sub £10 pick ups I will trade instead.

Does it matter say if the game is the game of the year edition like Assasins creed 2, even though it says "standard edition" on the list, or if the game is classics, like Batman Arkham Asylum?

Will they still be accepted?

Classics will make no difference, still a "Standard Edition" of a game seeing as how there's nothing extra with them. As for a GOTY traded instead of a standard, it'll be down to manager's discretion but I'd be shocked if they didn't take a GOTY edition when they were already prepared to take a standard!

Depends on the game. L.A. Noire gets you €35 store credit I think

I presume he means that he doesn't want to play LA Noire but he could use this promotion to get the game and then trade it in for cash or credit elsewhere.

I suppose you are likely to get more trade in value for a brand new copy of LA Noire this week than a trio of old games from the Gamestop list.

Mortal Combat - ps3

I traded in Red Dead undead nightmare into HMV for 20 euro
picked up StokED for 7.99 and Dantes Inferno for 9.99 which are both on the list.
Then went to Currys and picked up Army of Two - The second day for 4.99 NEW !! which is also on the list

Nice!! Can you bring in more than one copy of a game? Like pick up 3 copies of Army of Two for €15 and bring them in?

I don't believe you can , so you'll just have to go in three times ...maybe use a clever finger mustache as a disguise

so either they ARE allowing the offer on pre-orders, or they're going to extend the deal, and just update the list of acceptable games for trade-in

class deal, got rid of three dust collectors for a brand spanking new game and i got a free add on for the game and a soundtrack... happy days

also the guy in the shop reckoned there will be a new deal next week with more games on the list

Buying 3 = £14.97 + £2.97 P&P = £17.94

That's €20.55 apparently (according to XE)

€20.55 + €3 = €23.55

...so any game you want from Gamestop should cost you around €23.55 if you go that route.

However... the current list of games to trade in is set to change on 30th September, so if you get the games late, and Zavvi removes those three from the list, on October 1st then you might be screwed.

...I said it was crazy :P

:eek: Which store told you that? Surely that is not the case as I have been trading in PS3 games for 3DS games in this deal and wanted to off load some more tomorrow for Driver 3D.

Fifa 11 is pretty much worthless now and will not work. I doubt fight night will too. GTA 4 ( I assume) will probably though.
