Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Frequent HP Printer updates

Every couple of weeks I get a flashing message from Hewlett Packard informing of an update to the Officejet printer. I can't imagine such frequent updates are necessary for something like a printer. At first I thought it was a scam of some sort, but recently have been accepting them. When I contacted HP they politely told me that as the printer warranty had lapsed they weren't in a position to give me any advice. Just a simple answer is all I needed. Any advice?

HP utilize universal print drivers. This means that their print driver supports a huge amount of printers and as such, any fix to one printers operation will have a update to the universal print driver. So they seem to operate on a 1-2month schedule of releases for both fix's and new model printer releases.

Since its highly unlikely your own printer and your current driver are in any way affected by these updates it is in your best interest to just ignore them. Unless you find yourself having a problem with the printer.

Thank you Cuddlesworth, I'm inclined to the belief that these updates are superfluous to my needs, for the most part I ignore them. As you say, if I discover problems I can then choose to accept.
