Looking to get broadband at home, and would prefer not to use those little midband dongles as they tend to be unreliable.

So what do you use at home? I know of Eircom, Vodafone and Imagine available for this area. Are there any other providers of broadband for the area?

    Any DSL provider,

Eircom/Voda/digiweb/Imagine/UTV, at the end of the day its all going through eircom so your going to get the exact same service regardless who you are with. Just with varying customer support & prices.

Only other choice is NWEWN if you can see one of there masts, they provide a 1mb fixed wireless option (no phone line required) They've had horrible tech support in the past, but that seem's to have been sorted out.

    But generally poor.

€40 per month for only 4gb usage, plus a 2 yr contract and €250 to get connected.

    Think I'll pass on them.

Yeah I think a neighbour has one of their antennas, so I would get it.

They are quite expensive, taking a look at their website.

I used them before in Derry. Service was grand, plus had the bonus of being unlimited, but when I started having issues with my connection I found them less than helpful.

€30 per month for 4 GB per WEEK download cap at 6Mb speeds
yes installation costs may be high,
but at least you can reuse the satellite disk for receiving Terrestrial television should you discontinue your broadband :)

To be fair I read that download limit as 4gb per month.
