what am i doing wrong

ok so i bought a new laptop that has windows 7 and i got the game to work,so i went to update it and change the year but on the normal champ manager program it wont load the edited index and on the champ manager_gdi program it loads the edited index but wont change the start year lol whats going on? edit sorted it out
