Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Photo editing on a Laptop screen?

    Hey,

I've recently moved from my desktop PC to a laptop. The contrast and brightness varies a lot depending what angle you have the screen at. I recently saw some images I had edited on the laptop on a desktop computer and they were much more contrasty than I'd wanted.

Any tips for editing on a laptop screen? Or is it just not recommended?

    Thanks

For a long time now the only screen I've had has been the Laptop.

Get it calibrated and then have a look at how the files print.

Calibrate them and they are fine

... and after you calibrate sit in exactly the same position every time you use it :)

I use a laptop screen for prep work, it's fine for that, but always refer to an external display for final output

I think that's an important point. Laptop screens aren't ideal.

Yeah that's my problem! :( I'll need to construct a docking station with a head brace... ;)
