    Hi all,

There's a group of us heading on a stag in May in Berlin and I was just wondering if people could recommend good bars and areas where there is good nightlife in Berlin?

Also looking for some ideas for things to do during the day to keep us out of the pub for a while?!

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Check out the Bier Bike.

It's a bike for up to about 16 people, one person steers, everyone pedals (steerer has to stay sober though) it they have draught beer on board, so you can cycle around the city enjoying a cool beer)

Loads of stuff to do during the day - boat trips, open top bus tours, visits to the Reichstag, Berlin Wall etc.. if you're into that kind of stuff. TV tower (great view of the whole city) Sea Life/Madame Tussauds

A hell of a lot of irish stags end up in the Oscar Wilde Irish pub, it's a great pub in you're in a group.

You'll find everything you need for a stag on Oranienburger strasse. Try Cafe Zapata. There are other bars and clubs in the building plus a really weird beer garden out the back.

That would normally be on the top of my "must-see" list, but it's closed down :(

That's sad. Saw a totally brilliant Euro Ska band there, what a night.

Was there over the weekend for my stag and saw the Bier Bike. Looked like to much effort.

Go to a bar and relax!

There is a cool beach bar beside Check Point Charlie. If you staff for a good bit (especially if the weather is good) the barman will start getting the shots in. We got a couple of free rounds off him (11 of us per round).

There is also a good few bards beside the river

Is this the place that had a beer garden that was pretty much a beach with camper vans selling cocktails?

    Absolutely class!!!

If you haven't gone yet, Dr pong is definitely worth a look. It's a bar with a table tennis table in it. We went there on a stag two weeks ago.. great crack for a few hours

Do the beer bike! I was at a stag in Berlin last April and we did the beer bike, easily highlight of the weekend! It was a lovely day and we got to see a lot of the sights while rambling about on the bike having a few beers. A guy from the beer bike company steers the bike and makes sure things don't get out of hand. Cost about 20 euro each for 15 people for 2 hours and as much beer as we could drink! What more could you ask for!?

We did an organised pub crawl on the first night, its not easy for a big group of lads to get in to nightclubs so this was perfect for us. Nightlife is pretty spread out in Berlin so we ended up going back to a lot of the places we had been on the pubcrawl the night before. We were brought to Cafe Zapata as well, sad to hear its closed down now. It was one of the best places we went to.

We also hit the Oscar Wilde on the Saturday night but it was completely dead so we left after one drink
