Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Over here on holidays in Argentina and my Canon G9 just decided to stop powering up :(
I have it 4 years and have taken just shy of 3000 photos. I tried another battery with no joy. Can anyone recommend a camera repair shop in Dublin ? Is it even worth trying to get it repaired?

    cheers
    Jon

Ack, my G9 also stopped responding a few weeks ago, so I will be following this thread to see if they can be repaired in Dublin, or if I have to buy a replacement...

    Hi,
To both OP and Mec-a-nic I do camera and lens repairs if you are interested PM me..

A few G9's have come my way with that same fault which requires replacement of the DC/DC board (power board) in the camera but in any case it wouldn't be hard to diagnose the cause upon inspection.
