Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

New(ish) social media/news aggregation

    Just curious:

Some of the new(er) social media tools allow for aggregation - things like storify, storyful, paper.li, etc... - some automated, some manually prepared.

What issues do people find (if any) with such aggregation which may / can include your work, your tweets, your blog post, your photographs.

Is there an issue of copyright?

Do you view it as free publicity for you - small image and a link to your site, a tweet attributed to you, etc..

Or do you froth at the mouth when you come across something like this?

Would it cause you a second thought?

Might increase traffic to my site so see it as okay.

As long as someone else is not making money from my work - I don't mind.

I don't use any of them - have signed up to demotix only to see what it was about, have not experienced the others.
