Nokia 3250 slow to lock onto satellites

Ive tried turning off AGPS and network connections but Im finding the Nokia 3250 with OVI maps very slow to get a lock on satellites to give correct position. Sometimes it takes over 10 minutes. Is there any way around this or is this normal?
