    buy it here
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.runtastic.android.pro2

runtastic pro currently 10 cent on google play. normally 5 euro. Can do live tracking I believe

details on it here (link is to the free version via the link below though)
    https://www.runtastic.com/en/apps/runtastic

no idea if its any good but not bad for 10 cent though there are lots of in app purchases such as training plans etc.

Skechers Go Run Ride 3 down to a ridiculous price now on amazon.co.uk - less than £23 for black size 9.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Skechers-Go-Run-Ride-Athletic/dp/B00E4CNRT6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425306207&sr=8-1&keywords=go+run+ride+3

will work for free delivery over £25 too.

Fantastic light but cushioned runners. (8oz for size 9)

4mm drop or increase that by putting in the supplied insoles (also increases cushion).

Thanks just ordered me a pair.

Cheers for the heads up, that's incredible value. Think I got the last pair of nines in black. Looking forward to trying them out. Reviews are excellent and they seem to be pretty similar to the Kinvara and NB 890 that I've been using for the last while.

they are great shoes, but more for easy miles / training. not as fast as kinvara which can be used for racing. Probably faster without the insoles due to more ground feel but they seem to fit tighter with the insole in. seem to be still avail in 9 black so don't think you got the last pair :) (saying 1 left) I got 3 pairs but paid £30 for the first 2 pairs! The price went down after which was weird I thought.

Ha, seems I was right to be somewhat sceptical about the "only 1 left" notice. I just ordered the one pair (for £23!) but added a pair of socks to bring it over £25 and get the free delivery.

A training shoe is exactly what I'm after, one that I can rotate with my New Balance 890s, so these should be just the ticket. I've got a pair of Inov-8 Road Xtremes for the faster stuff.

Thanks man! I went for the "Go Run" rather than the "Go Run Ride" you linked to but either way that's a very decent price! :)

had the go run 2 - great shoes too - a little less cushioned than the ride but obviously a bit lighter but still cushty. again you have the removable insoles to give you the option of more feel or a bit more cushion. the ride is only about 1.5oz heavier per shoe and still light enough for me. I must be getting soft in my old age and prefer a bit more cushion now!

Had to pop back and say cheers for the heads up. Bargain of the year so far for me. Hadn't heard much about them but had to take a punt at that price. Lighter and more comfortable than my kayanos. Only sorry I didn't order an extra pair or two.

....in lifestyle Blancardstown - only caveat is that (they say) they'll only take them back for store credit - I'm pretty sure though that if push came to shove they're obliged to refund you as long as you've got the receipt. Being on sale dosen't change consumer rights AFAIK

Consumer rights doesn't give you the right to return an item unless there's something wrong with them. If you buy them and just decide they're not for you, you're not even entitled to store credit, never mind a refund.

The only exception to this is that the store must follow their own announced policies. If their policy is "Refunds with receipts within 28 days", they can't refuse to follow that policy, unless they have specified what items that policy doesn't apply to (like in this case)

Check them out on sweatshop.co.uk. Same company I'd say judging by the similarity in the web pages. Looks like sweatshop is running focused. Prices only in sterling and a bit more expensive. Still bargains to be had though.

Sweatshop used to be a reasonably good independent running chain until Sports Direct/Mike Ashley bought them out, now they're stuck selling the Karrimor crap.

Slightly OT but can I ask if anyone else who picked up the Skechers Go Run bargain from Amazon a few months back is disappointed with how they've worn?
The outer layer on mine has cracked behind the toe piece of the uppers, on both shoes.
Can't fault the value for money but, given the lack of actual running I've done in these, I'd be very reluctant to buy another pair at anything like full price.

    Anyone else?

Do you mean the go run ultra, tfb? Love the ultras, on my third pair right now. haven't tried the go run ride yet but if they are anything like the ultras I'll be happy.

No, I used the "Go Run" for that race. I'm actually considering trying out the ultra for next time* but up to now I have always used light shoes with little cushioning in all my races, including ultras.

    * what next time? Have I already forgotten how much that hurt?
