Does anyone know a place in the city that sells house alarm batteries? And how much are they? Would expect to pay €10-€15 for one. Thanks.

Where did you try already? B&Q, Woddies, Maplin?
Or just one online. Google your alarm brand and battery type.

Havent tried anywhere yet. Its actually for an off-road buggy, which is the same as a house alarm battery. I need it for tomorrow morning so buying online at this stage isnt really an option.

CT Electric on Seán Mulvoy Road could have one.

What battery model is it? Maplin might have it.

Yes Maplin probably has it, you could bring it in there and show it to them so they can see if they have a suitable replacement.

I don't think they sell 'cyclic' use batteries though, these are the ones that are OK to charge/discharge often. Most cheap sealed lead/acid batteries are 'standby' batteries only, not meant to be used often but rather to be available on standby e.g. for a house alarm.

If you drain those all the way often they will lose capacity rather quickly. If you're using it as a starter battery it might be OK since you won't completely drain it every time but if it is a main drive battery for a kids' buggy it might be a bit heavy on it and you'd be better off with a cyclic one if you can get one.
