Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ESBEI offering wall insulation?

    Hi,

    A radio advert played this morning in which I thought I heard that ESBEI are offering an external home wall insulation service from around €4,000.

    At the moment, I can't find any obvious reference to it on the ESB website. Is this correct? If so, is a grant available for this work?

    Hi Bazzer2,

    The add mentions €4k available in the form of a grant from SEAI (the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland). I've located the FAQ section on their website for you, which outlines all the grants available and how you would go about applying for them.

    The actual cost of an external wall job depends on the size of the property and the number of walls to be insulated. For ball park purposes, a three bed semi-detached property would typically cost in or about €12k (incl. VAT).
