Horses are often booked to run in more than one race, come the two day declaration the choice will have been made. That or its an error.

There is no two day declaration stage in Ireland.

Declarations are made at 10am on the day before the race and until then the horse will remain in both fields.

Yes horses can have multiple decs or course, it won't be an error, it's purely a weights decision.

Just to add that the horse may still be declared in both races at the overnight stage.

It happens from time to time for various reasons.

What do you mean by weight decision?

Maybe if they're both a handicap race, and one's lower than the other race.
