Right so I can't get through to CI so I'd thought I'd ask here rather than keep trying to ring them. Does anyone know what licence you need to be able to do mountain bike club races? There's a CI club race licence but from reading the wording it seems to be specific to road races so I was thinking I could probably get by…

Generally a non-competition licence is fine for club mtb races. I'd suggest checking with your club to see if they have specific requirements.

I think what Morgan said is correct a non competition club licence should be fine!
