next time were charging them first [online]
only problem is some ppl would not have cc-cards and numbers probably would have been less

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,237 ✭✭✭Owwmykneecap

What about Lazer? Everyone over 16 has one of those.

    sorry fergus.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,070 ✭✭✭Placebo

lol tbh some people in this demographic dont even have bank accounts
and if we allow for on the day OR online, people will all opt for on the day.
needs to be one or the other. [unless on the day is considerably expensive*]

*thats right Fergus, get your parents CCARD !
    ok enough fergus bashing.

Speaking with experience from lan parties I strongly advise against pre-pay only events in the future. It puts alot of people off. Expect between a 25%-33% no show rate and plan accordingly.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,237 ✭✭✭Owwmykneecap

Pre paid peeps getting discounts and pay on the day paying full whack is an alternative.

Ah sure I'll get me mam's card

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,070 ✭✭✭Placebo

We follow every other regulation from EVO/SvB etc etc , why not this as well.
With a small surcharge for 'on the day' people will sign up early, if not then they wont mind paying a little extra on the day. I dont think thats too off putting, if it was then all the major events wouldnt do it.
Its also gauntness that someone signing up will show up.
This is the way all events in any industry take place.
Above is applicable to only major event like this one, not inferno.

It's not in the Digital Exchange, just Exchange.

Should probably mention that it's Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition and not just Street Fighter IV. Otherwise, good stuff.

Any of you locals have any advice on cheap parking, close to the exchange?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,971 ✭✭✭Orim

I think Bush has siad that Jervis is the closest and cheapest.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,164 ✭✭✭Konata

    Cheap parking in Dublin? LAWL.

Jervis and Fleet St. would be closest. Jervis is 2.70 an hour, Fleet St. is 3.10 an hour :/ Fleet St. is easier to get to/out of but Jervis is cheaper. Jervis isn't that bad to find but it's annoying as hell to get out of - damn one way streets!

Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter. By which I mean, can you give me some more details. Where is the Red Cow? Is there a Luas stop close by? How much is the Luas Journey and how far away from the exchange does it drop you off?

    I'm a Dublin n00b.
