Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dunnes have Frank's Sauce with promotional labels on them offering "Try For Free", just purchase your bottle of sauce and send in the till receipt with the promotional collar on the bottle and they will refund you the price you paid plus postage.

Limited to one purchase per household :D

    Horrible sauce.
So what hot sauce would you recommend instead of it?

In the other mega long thread it turned out most of the people who said they didn't like it didn't follow the instructions/recommended usage (i.e. you cook it up with butter). It would be almost like me saying "chicken tastes horrible" and then later revealing I ate it raw!

I posted a try me free offer on gillette razors a few months back and it was locked by mods. How does this remain open?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,292 ✭✭✭Cunning Stunt

That's a great offer. Wish I was in Ireland!

They don't have it where I live, so paid 20 yoyos to have 2 bottles delivered from Austria  I Looovvvee buffalo wings and read so much about this sauce on boards, I just had to try it, regardless of the cost!

    1. Do not question a moderation action on a thread.
    2. Your thread was closed because it wasn't a "free" offer. There is a difference.
    3. If you had a problem with your thread being closed, why didn't you contact the Mod, or the CMods, or go to the Dispute Resolution forum?
    4. If you have a problem with a any other post, then use the report post function, but don't bring it up on thread.

I don't think it is worth the paper, postage, trip to the post box and other admin just for a 2e bottle of sauce!

    Horrible sauce.

    agreed

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

After reading this thread I decided to pop into Superquinn and try a bottle of this stuff.

I'm sitting here with chicken + veg and Franks hot sauce (bbq) in front of me now.

Amazing. I am buying a few more bottles at the weekend.

    What's wrong with a spud?
A fresh potato, with skin, contains 45% of the recommended daily value (DV) of vitamin C, 18% DV of potassium, almost no sodium, no fat, and no cholesterol.
But it seems that the millions who followed the low-carb, no-carb fad diets forgot, or at least temporarily dismissed, the nutritional values of the potato!

Got my refund yesterday for this

Had a look in Tesco, didn't see any.

    What's wrong with a spud?

The problem isn't the potato, it's eating loads of potatoes every day! Worse than that is the way people prepare them... Deep fried is definitely not good for your heart. So avoiding spuds to eat healthy makes sense.

So basically what you mean is don't eat Chips or wedges?

Theres nothing wrong with a baked/boiled potato!

yes, all the good info starts from page 5 onwards, it's evolved a lot since then though and has become somewhat of a religious experience for some of us more enlightened souls. ;)
