    Hi folks....

I have a meeting in ITB this week. I realise it aint the easiest place to get to....If I was to get the 38 bus from Dublin city centre....what stop should I get off at in Blanchardstown to have the shortest walk to ITB? I estimate Cruiserath Road....but I could be wrong? Can anybody please give me some feedback......Also how long roughly does it take to get from the city to the college on the bus?
    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Cheers

Loads of bus's go to the shopping centre. Just get off there and walk. It's only about 10-15 mins or so, depending on how slow or fast you are.

Not sure how long the bus journey is. It should give u an estimate on the dublin bus site. I think it's 40 mins.

Today I hopped on a 39a on the southside quays.. literally opposite the hay penny bridge. 39 and 39a both go to blanch shopping center. 39 takes a bit longer as 39a takes more direct route to the center. The bus was 2.30e today.

Once you get to the center I'd take Konfusion's advice and just walk it, I'd chalk it up to 22mins if your taking it handy.

Ok so hop off bus at shopping center, and look around for crowne plaza hotel. It is the tallest building around. Walk towards it, you pass a Captain America's restaurant on your left. Get yourself onto the path that's outside captains. Walk past captains and on approaching the Crown plaza, do not cross the road, but follow the walk way, kinda sheltered over with trees.

walk along this path, with the crown plaza on your right... carry on along it until you come to a slip road....it's the only possible next thing you'll see, cross the road at this point, and walk along a bridge... this bridge goes over the N3 .. or M3? as it's called these days? anyways it's a big dual carriage way.... impossible to miss as you walk over it.

Once you've crossed the bridge... you come to a round about, go straight through this round about ... take it easy it's a tad dangerous, best bet is to wait for a truck going around to give you a big window.

Then continue on straight... up what is deffinately the longest straightest road in blanchardstown... 'the blanchardstown road'

about mid way up the road.. there's a junction with some lights... when they lights go.. traiffic stops in all directions... so you can cross on a diagonal and now your still heading straight up the road but on the left hand side path.

Continue following that path and you will eventually come to a round about.. following the path you naturally take a left at this round about... which leads you into the college... walk to your left up a nice area... you should see a lake to your right as you walk ... pretty soon you should see a big looming itb up on a hill... well done you made it ^^... cross the road.. at the 'not a zebra crossing but people treat it as one thingy' and walk up the path that leads right up into the first building you see. This is F-Block, as you walk in the door... there is a reception on your left... walk in and ask for directions to wherever your interview is or whatever ^^..

...that is literally the walk to itb from the shopping center with turn for turn.. in all honesty you just walk to plaza.. past it.. then walk in a straight line till you hit itb... that's about as hard as it gets ;D

If your really lost... get the bus to the center... then walk to the taxi rank at the blue entrance and get a taxi to the college ... shouldn't cost more then 10-15e? ask the driver anyways beforehand if you choose this avenue.

Get a 38/a/c to Corduff and walk up, best option.
